10 Ways to empower employees

1. Understand that there is a need for change. Change is a process which has a beginning but no end.
2. Provide a clear role to play. The people will lose interest unless specific roles of authority and responsibility      
    are defined.
3. Provide them appropriate education and training.
4. Provide the resources to get the job done. No amount of delegated authority or responsibility can guarantee
    success.
5. Allow the freedom to be creative and innovative.
6. Allow and encourage the freedom to lead without fear.
7. Give people the authority to exercise their best  judgement without fearing retaliation of any kind.
8. Make people responsible to improve continuously. Delegating authority without including responsibility is
    useless.
9. Give people the recognition they deserve.
10 . Give people a sense of ownership.

How to lead an outstanding department?


What matters when you lead a department? What questions you have to face and solve to make the department outstanding? Two major are:
1. What makes a department outstanding?
2. Is your department outstanding?

            When some one raised to a position to lead a department department he has to face a lot of issues. He has to address the challenging atmosphere. But it is a chance to any one to prove their capabilities. All challenging situations pull out the capabilities sleeping inside  in you. If you go through such hard practices and situations you will be more valuable and sharp. But this is the result of how much effort you spend to lead and it is either a pass or fail. If you succeed your destiny is awaiting with much responsibilities and fame. If the result is negative, your story is over. 
                 But what makes your department outstanding. Your department is valued based on your values. To make a department outstanding, first you must be an outstanding person. Then all will come your own way. To be outstanding, you must have the following qualities such as impartial, self motivation, ability to make decisions, great moral capacity, a guiding vision, absolute commanding power, a brave heart, a mind set to hear every one's opinions and a role model to everyone.You have your own ways and ideas to lead. If  you are blessed with such qualities then your department becomes outstanding. 
           After all, you are made to lead, then lead......

Why Mentoring?



Mentoring is a powerful personal development and empowerment tool. It is an effective way of helping people to progress in their careers and is becoming increasing popular as its potential is realized. It is a partnership between two people  normally working in a similar field or sharing similar experiences. It is a helpful relationship based upon mutual trust and respect.
                   A mentor is a guide who can help the mentee to find the right direction and who can help them to develop solutions to career issues. Mentors rely upon having similar experiences to gain an empathy with the mentee and an understanding of their issues. Mentoring provides the mentee with an opportunity to think about career options and progress.
                 A mentor should help the mentee to believe in himself and boost his confidence. A mentor should ask questions and challenge, while providing guidance and encouragement. Mentoring allows the mentee to explore new ideas in confidence. It is a chance to look more closely at yourself, your issues, opportunities and what you want in life. Mentoring is about becoming more self aware, taking responsibility for your life and directing your life in the direction you decide, rather than leaving it to chance.

The Truth about Society

Here I am going to share the findings that I found, observed, analysed and and in good faith to express it before the world. It is a result of some discussion I conducted with majority of student community, academicians, executives,politicians, professionals including educators, mind trainers, philosophers, layman and with real masters. The discussion is about what the society wants at this time, what is going on the society, how we can solve the issues and how we can prepare next generation to handle this critical society?
                       Everyone has opinions bet we want the real answers. The questions are clear and everyone is a victim of it in any situation.We need the authentic answers  from authentic people. Every one wish that there should be a person with a big stick to address these issues.(Childhood day's headmaster comes to everyone's mind, He will be the hero of all the time). The society is looking forward with a mentor who can guide the generations to a positive and protected level. Every one needs protection. That is the first and foremost level of security. All of them have a fear of an awaiting threat to their life, job, status, wealth, health etc. So the society's demand is simple.  
                     Next we have to find answers for what is going in the society. When we came out of the safe zones, we can find nothing is going good. Everyone mimics the society intentionally or not intentionally. Layman is unaware about what is happening around himself. So, that majority of common people are exploited by the minority of fraudulent people. But these minority are very crooked and intelligent and their objectives are invisible to the straight forward people. When watching closely we can identify that lot of people with no personal excellence grab their position in the ruling chairs. Everyone needs power, wealth and fame. If the power is not blessed with them then they are totally demoted and they become a rebel in any matter of concern. 
                 To identify the origin of the problem we have to go back to schooling or home of every ones life. Then only we got a clear picture of the problem. When ever the quality of schools and colleges are  degraded then it becomes the source of all evil in the society. The society is a reflection of the academic institutions. There we can met the people who are accidentally become teachers, the teachers who are supportive to the students to be evil, irresponsible teachers(Teachers who came late in colleges, Followers of bad practices, morally incapable to address ethical issues, smokers, drinkers,.....), institutional heads with lack of commanding power(They replace their backbone with rubber), roughly handled syllabus, lack of infrastructure, lack of idea about organization hierarchy etc. Teachers must have a fear factor in their mind and they think that they are appointed by the students. So they abandon  their values and beliefs and will be a slave in their later life. These type of teachers are majority in our institutions. This is the curse of the society. To my full strength admiration to all the great teachers I roughly hate these majority of teachers. 
        If this is the case then how we send our children to school or colleges. It raise another ideas to the society. ie, "The concept of No Schooling" it means children are trained with in the family and equip them to handle and address the life. Through life any one understands and learn himself. The nature will pour its endless wisdom to those who deserves. If the parents gives more consideration to it then we can develop it as a great idea. It is a remedial solution to the worstly going school or colleges. But we have to promote the school or college education to a newer and higher level.

Do we need power to serve?

"Every one of us alive today has the power to inspire, influence,end elevate each person we meet by the gift of a great example and no one need the power or title to do that". It's an amazing fact that everyone ignore when the situation demands. Every one is going behind the power. But what you can do without the power with in yourself with the designated power. 
             When observing the society, people and organizations we can realize that the above mentioned facts are true. The time and nature demands a change in this attitude. If you want to serve any one or any organization, then serve with full force. Everything you deserves come to your way. There is no question about it. To serve it needs certain sacrifices, a good will, right attitude and straight forwardness. With out these even if you get power you can't do any thing. But you can believe some one that you are a good social servant. You can't travel long with these fake identities. The intelligent society will realize you and you have to pay for it. 
                 In short, the real leadership involves breaking through the limits of your mind and can step in to the highest strengths of your spirit.

Is it possible to educate one without a teacher?

Absolutely not. Any one can give some information to someone. If any system is said to be an education system there must be a teacher. A teacher is a person not only to teach but to educate a clean slate or to point the right path to an individual. In this sense education has a broad meaning and teacher has a major significance in this  system. 
             Simply a teachers job is to complete the assigned portions and leads them for the examination. Is it the real mission of the teachers. Without the teacher anybody can do this. Then what is his role in one's life? No one can distinguish the role of the teacher because it is deep rooted in all aspects of human life. First of all he is a role model to the student in all sense. Today's generations have no role models to follow or to admire. A good teacher can fill that position. To be a great teacher he must be sensible, responsible, willingness to hear to accept the students conditions and to adopt policies for making the students life harmonious and to provide them  an atmosphere to educate. Also the teacher has the capability to point the real facts of life to the students.     In all sense he must be a good person in his private and public life. Ha has the moral capacity to command the students when anything goes wrong. The teacher has to follow good standards and practices that anyone can follow. The teacher with above mentioned qualities is an integral part of education. Without such ones it cannot be called as educations system but even can be called as a Business System. In our society we can find majority of such systems.
